Cubbison HSS by AlSentis Ignores Variance for Perfect Touch Actuations

Helps to deliver engineered HMI solutions that are more reliable in the most challenging environments.

Capacitive variance has caused frustrations for design engineers implementing touchpads in their design. Anything from heavy work gloves to splashes of water can lead to inaccurate or accidental actuations.

The latest innovation from The Cubbison Company provides a solution to capacitive variance issues. Cubbison HSS by AlSentis uses signature-based Touch Recognition Technology that eliminates false or unreliable actuations and helps to deliver engineered HMI solutions that are more reliable in the most challenging environments.

Cubbison is introducing the product at this year’s IDTechEx Show! on Nov. 15-16 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

Cubbison HSS eliminates predetermined capacitive set-points to sense exactly when a surface touch occurs, opening the door for a more consistent user experience. This provides a number of benefits, including:
â—ŹFull functionality when sprayed with water and zero false triggers.
â—ŹNo loss of functionality or false triggers while wearing gloves.
â—ŹNoise-tolerant; system passes 10V of injected line noise.
â—ŹExact touch functionality even when the capacitive switch is protected by glass or plastic.
â—ŹAllows for multiple touch signatures to account for different inputs.
●Touch feel isn’t affected by temperature change.
â—ŹCapable of low-power operation without performance loss
●Doesn’t require constant base-lining and counter-measuring.

“Not only does this enable new construction methods and custom user experiences for an improved human machine interface, but end users will benefit from higher yields and reduced downtime,” said Tim Merrifield, Cubbison’s CEO.
